CURRENTLY SHOWING: Direct from stone quarries and outdoor sculpture studios in Zimbabwe, the sculpture in Mhiripiri Gallery’s current show is the work of some of Africa’s leading contemporary artists. Angular heads, abstract torsos, geometric forms inspired by the human figure, musicians and symbolic designs are represented in sculptures up to 5 feet tall and weighing as much as 1,000 pounds.
